what does Chin Filler treatment involve?

I will provide a thorough consultation at my Perth clinic, and examine and structure your profile enhancement according to your aesthetic goals. Photographs will also be taken prior to treatment to track your progress.

• Local anaesthetic cream is applied. The dermal filler also contains local anaesthetic to further reduce discomfort.

• The dermal filler may be injected using a fine needle or a blunt instrument (cannula). There will be a reason for choosing a technique and this is determined by your desired outcome and by your anatomy.

I aim to keep injection sites to an absolute minimum which will result in less trauma, swelling and bruising.

The treatment may take 30 – 45 minutes.

Dermal fillers are a medical procedure and therefore there is some risk.

Injection related side effects from jawline filler include:

• Temporary discomfort.

• Swelling.

• Redness.

• Bruising.

Dermal filler related risks include:

• Allergic reactions.

• Persistent pain.

• Granuloma (nodule accompanied by inflammation).

• Lumps/bumps.

• Infection.

• Vascular side effects, the most severe complications occur if the filler is accidentally injected into a blood vessel resulting in blood flow blockage. When this happens, patients can suffer tissue loss or blindness due to central retinal artery occlusion (very rare).

Reactions can occur straight away or be delayed in onset.

Individual results vary, but for many, hyaluronic acid jawline filler may last as long as 2 years.

No matter which type of dermal filler you have, you may start to see diminished results in 9 to 12 months. Maintenance treatments at our Perth clinic will keep results looking fresher.

what to expect after chin Filler treatment

Even with mild swelling, your results should be apparent immediately. You should also be able to return to work or to your normal activities immediately following jaw filler treatment.

It will take 2 to 3 weeks to see the full effect as it takes time for the dermal filler to settle in and integrate with your skin.

You may have some swelling, bruising, and redness. These effects usually improve after 48 to 72 hours.
